Things were not supposed to turn out this way. My grandmother is just visiting Singapore like she usually does to spend time with my family. With the Philippines going on lockdown halfway through her visit and most flights being cancelled, we knew it was safest for her to stay in Singapore as long as she could to avoid the chaos she would have to face in the Philippines, where she lives full-time.
However, things took a turn and she was having troubles passing motion for almost two weeks before we brought her to a hospital. Two days ago, after a CT scan, the doctors discovered a blockage and a hole in her intestine that had to be removed as soon as possible before it bursts. Almost immediately she went under operation and was in the ICU for two days until her blood pressure stabilized. She is still currently in the hospital for her recovery.
Since she's a tourist, there's not much we can do to decrease the costs of the latest estimate provided by the hospital which was $27, 000 in total.
We seek your help to get us through this. Any amount of donation would be very much appreciated. Please keep my grandmother in your prayers. Thank you so much for your support and stay safe everyone.
She was discharged on June 3 :) The bills totalled up to $38,000 and they're still accumulating, for more information do refer to my updates!
