Opera NEO

What’s our goal?

Opera NEO is a San Diego-based opera company and educational program for young opera singers. We are seeking to raise $15,000 to fund the symphony orchestra for our 2015 summer season and the education of the extraordinary young artists in our program.

Where will the money go?

Opera is a unique art form that is a synergy of the most powerful human expressions: poetry, drama, singing, instrumental music, dance, visual arts, color and light. It is international, dynamic, and exciting. But this is why it is also one of the most expensive artistic endeavors.

Part of the amazing musical experience is created by the 30 musicians playing in the orchestra.

What is Opera NEO?

Opera NEO is a venture for young opera singers created to prepare and inspire them to grow and perform at the highest level. Participation in the program is based on a highly selective national audition process. Selected singers are voice majors in nationally recognized conservatories and college music programs, and post-graduate young professionals. We strive to unlock their full potential while nurturing each individual's artistic qualities and personality to help them develop into independent and successful artists. In addition to classes, seminars, lessons and master classes the young artists perform in two fully staged opera productions accompanied by a symphony orchestra.
