Open Door: The Call is a young reader’s fictional story. It is the foundational piece of a much larger story and series of books, of a fourteen year old boy named, Daniel A. Tremaine. Daniel A. Tremaine was an ordinary young boy, until unordinary events began to occur in his life.

Danny had never been exposed to any miraculous or supernatural activity until he had an “encounter.” He soon realized it was God Himself who visited him, and called him to be a prophet to the nations.

Daniel finds himself on a grand adventure with God, where the impossible is possible. Danny begins to see in the Spirit, which enables him to minister joy, freedom, and salvation to his classmates. He is also able to see that his 7th grade math teacher, Mrs. Johansen is critically ill with stomach cancer, before she is even aware of it.

Despite Danny’s insecurities, he finds the courage to speak with Mrs. Johansen. Mrs. Johansen permits Danny to pray for him. While Danny is praying, he is able to see in the Spirit two heavenly angels bring new body organs for Mrs. Johansen. This results in her complete healing of stage four stomach cancer.

Danny has no understanding of what he is seeing in the Spirit, or what is happening to him. He begins to wonder if he is going crazy. However, the Holy Spirit begins to teach and guide Danny in the ways of the Kingdom. God also begins to reveal mysterious to Danny, and even show him a body parts room in heaven.

Despite Danny’s young age, he realizes he has a huge calling and destiny for his life. He soon learns the supernatural should be natural, and the impossible is possible with God. He continues to have supernatural encounters with God in preparation for his great destiny.

Within the first few months of his calling, Daniel makes a very good friend named, James. James becomes his spiritual father, and is able to mentor and disciple Daniel. James and his wife, Alysha host what they call, Glory Parties.

At the glory parties, God shows up in mighty signs and wonders. The group soon realizes, there are no limitations in the glory realm.

It was obvious that Monday at Premier Middle School in New Orleans, Louisiana was different for me. I was seeing my classmates through different eyes. In fact, I was seeing all sorts of weird stuff.

On one girl, I saw the word, “sad” written on her forehead. I thought that was a peculiar thing to have written on your forehead. I decided to ask my buddy Jason about it.

“Jason, why does Rebecca have “sad” written on her forehead?”
Jason replied back, “Dude, what are you talking about. She doesn’t have anything written on her head.”

I looked again. I could clearly see the word “sad” written on her forehead, but I didn’t want to push the issue with Jason.

Later in the day, I saw Joe Callahan. Joe wasn’t really a friend at the time, but we talked to each other at school. On his forehead, I saw the word, “hopeless” written on it. It was strange, because only Rebecca and Joe had words written on their heads. Nobody else did. I also asked Jason about this as well.

“Jason, why does Joe have the word, ‘hopeless’ written on his forehead?”

“Bro, what are you talking about, Danny? Joe doesn’t have “hopeless” written on his forehead. First it was Rebecca with “sad.” Now Joe with “hopeless.” Are you ok? Am I going to have to call the, ‘My friend’s a weirdo hotline?’”

“No man, I’m... I’m good.”

“Ok, I was starting to worry there a little bit.”

Seriously, Jason wasn’t the only one starting to worry. It seemed so real to me, but apparently others couldn’t see what I was seeing. I, myself was getting worried.

If things were getting weird, it started to get weirder. In math class, Mrs. Johansen was talking about fractions, decimals and percents of a number. I thought I was paying pretty close attention, considering it was math class.

As I was watching Mrs. Johansen go on and on, all of a sudden I saw her stomach float out of her body and hover in front of her body. I had to close my eyes and shake my head to see if my eyes were going funny. I slowly opened my right eye to see if her stomach was still visible. It was. Her stomach was as if it was superimposed over her body.

I must have gasped, twitched, or shrieked because I caught the attention of several of my classmates sitting around me. In which of course, they began to laugh. I had no grid for what was happening to me.

I began to think. “Logically, it doesn’t make any sense for her stomach to really be on the outside of her body. Besides it’s floating. Stomachs don’t normally float in mid-air. If her stomach really was outside of her body, she probably wouldn’t still be talking about fractions, she’d probably be dead or something. What’s going on?”

I continued to ponder all of these weird things that happened today. It was a kind of long and quiet bus ride home. I really didn’t know what to do. Should I tell my parents?

Dinner was interesting. It was pretty obvious to my parents something was on my mind.

“Danny, what’s going on? You’re not eating,” my mom said. “You’re just picking through your food.”

I guess I was. I was caught up in my own little world trying to figure things out. I was normally one to eat at least a couple of helpings.

“No, I’m fine.” I tried to dodge the truth. “Well, do you think it is possible to see things that other people can’t see?”

My mom replied, “I guess so. Everybody has an imagination. People see things in their imaginations.”

To me, what I was experiencing was more than my imagination. It seemed real. It didn’t seem like I just made it up.

“Dad, what do you think? Can people see things that others can’t?”

“Sure. Why do you think we have Disneyland? Walt Disney was able to see Disneyland in his mind, and then create it. Now millions of people enjoy what he first saw in his mind.”

“Do you think a person’s stomach could float out of their body?” Who wouldn’t laugh at that question? Both my parents did.

My mom was quick to respond. “Not likely. Wow, your imagination really is going places. I’ve never heard of a person’s stomach floating out of their body, but I’m beginning to wonder where yours went, considering you have only eaten a few bites of your favorite dish, lasagna.”

After this conversation, I began to learn what I should and shouldn’t say to people, lest I be shipped off to some mental hospital, or put on psychiatric drugs. However, I still didn’t have any answers for what I was experiencing. I needed some clear-cut explanations.

What is the book’s message, benefits, and unique qualities?

Open Door: The Call has a powerful message. The primary message of the story is how God is releasing His glory through people in mighty signs and wonders in these end times, and how He is looking for people to use in the harvest. This message is stemmed from John 14:12.

In John 14:12, Jesus said—
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."

There are also a number of benefits to reading, Open Door: The Call. One of these benefits is that it encourages the reader to start their own personal relationship with the Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. Readers need Open Door: The Call. Readers need this book because the world is in a critical time in history. I certainly believe we are living at the end of the end times. Jesus gave us significant understanding of the satanic forces that will be at work during the end-times in the Gospel of Luke. Jesus spoke some words that are very concerning.

In Luke 17:26-30 Jesus said—
26 "And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed."

Jesus said the end of days are going to be compared to the days of Noah and Lot. If we look in Genesis, we see how horrible the earth was during their time periods. Noah is mentioned in Genesis 6, and Lot in Genesis 19.

In Genesis 6:1-4. The Bible says—
1 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.

3 And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” 4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

In Noah’s day, the Bible records that satanic creatures were able to interbreed with humans. These creatures were called, Nephilim. According to Hebraic and other legends, the Nephilim were a race of giants and super-heroes who did acts of great evil.

Their great size and power likely came from the mixture of demonic “DNA” with human genetics. The Bible doesn’t say much about them other than they were “heroes of old, men of renown. (See Genesis 6:4.)” The Nephilim were not aliens, they were literal, physical beings produced from the union of the sons of God and daughters of men. This is not science fiction. This is truth.

In Lot’s day, we see the wickedness of Sodom and Gomorrah. The Bible says in Genesis 19:4-7—

4 Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. 5 And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.”

6 So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him, 7 and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly!

If we really are living in the end-times, we could be up against some pretty dark principalities and powers.

Who is this book written for? Who is your audience?

I wrote this book for young readers. I believe the youth are going to be great instruments in God’s hand in these last days. We should not hinder or suppress the youth. We are given insight into this when the Lord spoke through the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 11:6—

6 “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.”

God is going to use children to lead in the next great out pouring of the Holy Spirit. Young people are going to be used mightily in the coming days. God is going to raise them up in the extreme supernatural for His glory.

The audience for this book are those people who are interested in the supernatural. There is currently a craze and hunger for the supernatural worldwide. This can easily be seen by the popularity of Harry Potter, Marvel Comics, and DC Comics. Also, movies like, The Last Airbendor and The Soceror’s Apprentice are becoming more and more popular and prevalent.

However, the supernatural displayed in these types of movies are stemmed from Buddhism, witchcraft, and other dark sources. Open Door: The Call magnifies the Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
