Student loans. Liike a lot of people, I have them. While going through numbers in a work project, a crazy idea jumped in my head. What if a person could collect $1 from random folks they run into throughout the day. It would add up pretty fast. So I thought why not toss this idea out there to anonymous strangers I run into on the internet? Once this bucket is filled up, pass the torch on to someone else and get their loan paid off the same way, one dollar at a time from generous random people. A buck can't buy a lot of things now days, but it can change lives for the better.
In the mean time, I'll continue paying my student loans down as I always have as this campaign rolls on, slowly, but never past due. Just seeing if this will work, possibly catch on like wildfire, one dollar at a time...kind of a social experiment on the generosity of others.
If you have buck to spare or if you want to be a part of this to see if it works, awesome! I found $1.48 under the couch cushions this morning, there's a start.
Here's some updates on how it's going -
Current amount of loans as of July 4th, 2018 - $23,005
December 28th, 2018 - $22,711 -> interest sucks
April 20th, 2019 -> $21,923.08
October 1st, 2019 -> $20,992.13
January 1st 2020 -> $20,422.31
Can this done $1 at a time? Toss in a buck and let's find out!
