One Young World Fundraiser

Hi, my name is James Paek. I just recently got an acceptance letter to attend One Young World Ottawa Summit. One Young World is a charity that stages an annual Summit, which gathers together the brightest young people from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change. The 2015 Summit in Bangkok welcomed 1,300 delegates aged between 18 and 30 from 196 countries. Unlike any other event, the Summit gives young people the kind of media platform and forum ordinarily afforded only to the leaders of nations and corporations. It is an event that brings other young leaders from all over the world than any other event, like the Olympics. My goal is to bring empower and change the world by providing one of the most pressing global issues in the 21st century. In the past, I served several leadership positions: President of Political Science Student Association, President of History Club, Vice-President of Asian Student Association, and Vice-President of Young Americans for Liberty. Recently, I attended the One Young World Environment Summit, a summit that brings 500 young leaders to discuss and solve environmental challenges in the 21st century. After the summit, I officially became an ambassador. I like to attend Ottawa summit but I need your support to donate my Ottawa Summit.

Funding breakdown:

Returning Ambassador fee: $2,142.27 (plus tax at the applicable rate)

Flight to and from Ottawa: $500

Accommodation and miscellaneous (such as food, transportation, etc.): $1000
