ZAR50.00raised of R250,000.00 goal goal
This letter is written with a very heavy heart.
Our Ocean Basket Umhlanga Village Family, have all been affected by this Pandemic. What was once a family restaurant in a busy tourism hub, is now in a deserted island.
Our staff are currently unemployed and we find ourselves in a very difficult position.
I write this to you to ask for your help. We are still very much a beloved loved family, who wants to continue to serve you in the near future, and we wish to remain optimistic as we have always been.
We hope that we can raise the funds, as we need support to ensure that we keep our staff employed, supported and to be able to open our doors to trade-The cost of which with no turnover at present is debilitating.
Many of our staff have been with us for many years and some in the industry for decades and highly impacted as this is their only source of income.
Our restaurant has valued patrons from all over the world and South Africa and we would love to open our doors, but are going through very uncertain times as we don't know when this will end. We also wish to continue paying our local small business suppliers their much needed income.
We have dedicated our lives to building Ocean Basket Umhlanga Village Family to where it is today, we believe that when we are together, we can achieve anything; and now it is time to ask you to help us maintain this special family which you are part of.
Most of our employees are the only breadwinners for their families. We don’t know when we will open our doors, but we hope that we can open the doors with your support.
We know that at some point the world will get over this and that life will resume and in some ways want to make a difference somehow.
