Moja kćerka trenutno ide u vrtić "Dunje" i voljela bih i zbog nje i zbog druge djece, a i zbog budućih generacija da napravim ljepše okruženje u našem tmurnom svijetu.

Kindergarten "Dunje" is part of the Public Institution "Children of Sarajevo", and it is located in Otoka, at Novi Grad, Sarajevo. The building of kindergarten is in very poor condition, because this is an old ground building. The fence around building is damaged, so stray dogs have access which is a threat to the safety of children.

As I know, the roof was once repaired, there is some plan to repair windows on building, but generally kindergarten does not look as kindergarten should look like. The exterior walls are painted in gloomy colors, isolation is very bad. In some parts of the roof even leaks.

The teachers are really trying to beautify the children living rooms and are very good as educators and they work hard to make children feel welcome and loved.

But when they want to take children out they take them to the field almost a 500 meters from the kindergarten, because of old and destroyed fence everybody has access to surrounding of kindergarten, dogs, and in the evening even junkies, so it often happens that maintainers found syringes, bottles and miscellaneous garbage.

We tried to warn the municipal government, but they are deaf to our pleas.

We tried to organize action to clean up, but it was fruitless. Many parents do not understand us and do not realize that this is a second home for their children.

Playground incurred for the kindergarten is in very poor condition and in my opinion does not adequately age children that attending kindergarten.

My daughter now goes to kindergarten "Dunje" and I would love for her and all other kids, and also because of future generations to create a better environment in our gloomy world.

I thank all those who decide to participate in this action.

Let's make the world better for generations to come.
