Noni has become a household name in Huntington, WV. This beauty supply store has been a pillar of the community for seven years. When I started out in 2012, I took a gamble with my dream and used my retirement money. My family gave me money to keep up with the inventory, but it was still not enough to keep up with the demands and bigger store that can buy larger quantities to lower the cost of the product, so I started to find products that are unique & it works on different textures of hair and cooperation don’t sell because customers knew they could go to the family dollar get the same product for less. A lot of the money went to Taxes & bills, rent, interest expense from loans; and at this very moment, inventory is low and more debt has incurred. The loans I applied for and received to stay afloat didn't help cause it wasn't enough and by sales being low, it's hard to pay off my loans. It takes a lot to fully stock your store to have an advantage, and we think with the right start off in paying off business debt, we can definitely get to that point and keep our store alive.
