NOMALIZO is a musical theatre production tackling gender based violence. The musical was written to address the gender based violence scourge which is rife in South Africa. Statistics show that 8 women are killed daily in the hands of their partners. Despite the president declaring femicide a national crisis, the figures keep rising.
NOMALIZO tackles this issue in an entertaining yet very educational way. The musical takes the audience on an emotional roller-coaster. The show will be performed by a cast of 35 and a 10 piece band.
We would like to take this musical on a national tour and ultimately a world tour. We are raising funds for rehearsals and production costs. The production will create over 75 jobs in the performing arts sector.
