Campaign Story
Hi my name is Nikolas Taylor
Racing has been my passion ever since my dad took me to a go kart track back in Malaysia, the speed and adrenaline fueled me to do my best to make my F1 dream come true. I am looking for sponsors to help me climb the motorsport ladder, would you like to be associated with the next British/Malaysian Star of International Motorsport including possibly the elite world of Formula 1 Racing, Nikolas Taylor?
I am currently vying for a drivers seat in the 2021 British F4 Championship with either the Arden Motorsport or Fortec Motorsport race teams.
I have been learning and training for this with the YRDA (Young Racing Drivers Academy) at Arden Motorsport for 3 years, on the Race Simulator and in the UK Karting Championships and more recently on track tests with Fortec Motorsport. As far as we know I am the only British/Malaysian driver in this F4 series. I am currently one of the fastest SIM racers and kart racers in the YRDA stable of young drivers. I obtained my junior race license at Silverstone in June 2019, before Covid19 put a block on almost all racing in 2020. If all goes well I will be in the Arden Motorsport or Fortec Motorsport team for 2021 and/or 2022, providing I can raise some sponsorship money.
The past few years have been paid solely by my Dad, but going into the F4 UK/European Championships is a whole new ball game. A season in F4 will include 30 races, up to 30 test days together with the technical and other support that goes with racing. Including tyres, fuel, repairs, support technicians, etc. Arden Motorsport or Fortec (depending upon which team I enter with) pay some of the cost and obviously provide the car and support teams, therefore I have to come up with the balance.
I need to find some sponsorship money to make my dream come true. Jamie Horner and Steve Hutchinson who run YRDA and are associated with Arden Motorsport, or Richard & Oliver Dutton who run the Fortec Team, have put their team trust in me and have stated publicly that I am good enough to make it all the way to F1.
Oliver Dutton expressed Fortec’s ongoing interest after an initial F4 test at Snetterton Circuit in December 2020, saying, “Nikolas astounded everyone with the test times on his first two days of testing in wet conditions at Snetterton, where he matched times with drivers with vastly more experienced in F4 and F3 racing”
