Campaign Story
Kumasi Children's Home - Ghana Volunteering Trip
I am currently raising money for the children of the Kumasi Children's Home in Ghana.
As of 2018, there are 310,000 people living with HIV in Ghana alone. As a result of this, there were 190,000 orphans as a direct result of AIDS; with over 3,500 children being newly infected with HIV each year.
Happily, these figures are improving each year; however, there is still the urgent need for volunteers and donations to keep life-saving centres like the Kumasi Children's Home open and continually providing clothes, food, a safe place to sleep and education for the children of Ghana. The Home also offers support for children with disabilities and homelessness due to extreme poverty.
I will be visiting the Children's home in January 2020 for 3 weeks to assist with any necessary building work, teaching and endless amounts of cuddles! Myself and the Children's home would be immensely grateful for any donations, big or small, which would be used to provide food, clothing and the upkeep of facilities at the Home: with all money raised going directly to the Children's Home.
Thank you all immensely xx
