new wheels for heather

As some of you know, this past june 14, heather had her mountain bike stolen from her 2nd floor covered porch. She was crushed and since has tried everything to locate her bike, its is currently listed on 3 different registries, including 1 for law enforcement use, spoke to 2 different police stations as well as printed and passed out over 100 wanted/info sheets to everyone in the local area. Still nothing. Sadly we have resigned the fact that it is gone for good. That bike was her prized possession and her passion. Not only was it used for her "down time" it was also used for transportation for her to get around. Living in the country is nice but when your only form of daytime transportation is taken away, things are remote to say the least.

while I know financially we cant replace the bike that was stolen due to cost, I hope we can find a used bike that would be an acceptable replacement.

To some, it may seem like a frivolous thing but its not. She uses it to get around and out of the house. The past few years have been really difficult for her health wise and its end result has been major anxiety, mostly on a social aspect. That bike was pretty much the only thing she had that got her out and connected with like minded people without being self conscious or anxiety attacks. this whole ordeal has cause her to get really depressed and sad. Its difficult to see her like this and not being able to help. Thats why we are here. Im hoping that we can raise the small amount and surprise her with another bike, Any help would be so appreciated and be most welcome.
