Help me get a new car!

i work at a state school helping mentaly handycaped people and it doesnt pay well at all. And unfortunatly i live really far from work and the gas prices are going up. at the moment i drive my parents truck wich get a really low mpg rate... So please help me out here i want to be able to get 40+ mpg and have a nice newer car
