Campaign Story
Asking for help in this platform has been very hard for me. I have tried my hardest to help myself but somehow things seems to be hard handling on my own and somehow life gave me no choice, so, here I'm.
I'm a 23 years old jobless boy from Bangladesh and came to the India to study, my Sponsors, an Indian man exploited me for 4 years and said me that this behavior was normal here in the India. Added to this, the man who allowed them to demoralize me was disguised as a psychologist and I did not know any better than as I had placed my full trust in my sponsors. When I started the university here I came in contact with a lot of Indian friends, some of which were adopted by Indian folks and when I told them about my experience they were quite shocked. It was then that I started asking questions at home and then I found out the truth when I confronted them that everything was a lie. I had the most terrifying experience as my sponsors immediately locked me in the house and threatened to send me back to my home country with no place to go to money to start my life in South Africa. My phone was locked, traveling card, and the keys from my apartment were also away. I managed to get out of the house by calling the police by calling the emergency number. Since then, I have opened the case against them which is still pending. However, they immediately stopped financing after the incident.I am working as hard as I can in restaurants. Currently, I am working 12 hours a day sometimes washing dishes and that affects my studies because I am always tired while at the same time I am busy with psychiatric help because of the severe trauma and depression that I am still dealing with .I am a very determined young and I would be happy if I could finish my bachelor degree in Computer Science & Engineering. Financial assistance I believe could be very useful to help me achieve my educational goals. Unfortunately, due to my lack of finances and the psychological implications, I am now stuck in my third year and unable to move forward. It is a very heavy process and being in school and studying are two major factors that keep me sane. Moreover, the prospect of having a good education gives me the hope of getting a decent job after my better life.
I will be forever grateful if you could help me finish my study.
