Earlier this year during a routine eye exam, the doctor explained to me that I had a severe swelling in my optic nerves which is very unusual and sparked alot of concern. I was referred to see an eye specialist for a second opinion within 24 hours. The opthamologist was highly concerned and stated that the possible causes could either be a brain tumor, or swelling in the head (hydrocephalus). Within two days, I was at Carolinas Healthcare reciving an MRI on my brain to try and find the cause. I thank God the results came back normal for my brain, but it left me with knowing that I now have a "possible" tumor/shadow on my pituitary gland. Since this was found, I had to see a neurosurgeon and an endocrinologist to see if the tumor was active. Not only did I have more appointments, but I have to face another MRI at the beginning of October this year to monitor the tumor and verfiy its existance. The reason I am asking for help, is to cover the expenses of the MRI I had three months ago and the help with the down payment of the MRI I need in October. I have been wortking towards paying as much as I can for all of my bills, but I am stuggling with the minimum monthly payments and trying my best to keep them out of collections. The amount of debt I have incurred is overwhelming and hard to deal with.
