Hello my name is Julife, from the Philippines. Two months ago my friend notice that my thyroid gland is swollen, then I get so tired, feeling weak, irritated, depressed, and my heart beat was so fast, so I decided to go to the doctor.
I do have a hyperthyroidism (graves disease) which is my thyroid is over producing hormones that our body need and its affecting my cardiac, that's why my heart rate is so high (105 beats per minute), its like running for 24 hours. They did a lot of test and went to a specialist to figure out what to do to treat me.
Right now, I am on medication for thyroid and heart palpitation. It will take months for my heart to be back to normal, and will take years for the thyroid medicine to take effect or see the result. If this thyroid medication wont work, surgery is another option to do later. They will monitor my condition by having blood test every month.
The picture might not show much how swollen my thyroid is, but its really bothering me now, it seems like its bigger and hard to swallow.
That's why I'm here trying my luck to get help paying for my partial medical bills and stress makes it worst which is so hard not to be.
