This documentary will explore the efforts Singapore is taking to preserve biodiversity on an individual and community scale. The document will start off by introducing Singapore’s biodiversity as well as its growing population with statistics. To accommodate its growing numbers, Singapore’s plans for development and expansion will be examined and quoted. As the documentary progresses, we will find out how these plans are resulting in a loss of biodiversity. Clearing of forests for expressways and HDBs results in habitat loss for Singapore’s wildlife. Hence, the wildlife is driven out of the forests and into the concrete jungle causing a further loss of biodiversity as many are hit by cars or put down for unfortunate human interactions. An individual, passionate about wildlife will be interviewed to learn about the current efforts taken by individuals to preserve biodiversity in Singapore. The documentary will also feature official views from NParks on the current situation and future reforestation and preservation efforts on a larger scale
