The money raised will go to the purchase of siding and related materials to at least close the home in before the onslaught of winter. Some rot in the sheathing and sill has exhausted Myrna's resources before the siding could be purchased. Not protecting the exterior of the home in the harsh Northumberland Strait winter would surely lead to loss.
Myrna is an 82 year old devout Christian widow who spent her life in the service of her family, community and church. Financial constraints forced Myrna to sell her home and move to the cottage that her father built with wood scavenged from old boxcar's in 1947. The thought was to finally insulate and update the windows.
The replacement windows are almost completed and the insulation has begun, but, without sealing the exterior, the house will be in jeopardy. Please help with what you can.
