We, unlike other living creatures on Earth, are born with the ability to dream. The world we now know, is shaped by the greatest dreamers in history.
Thabyegone is a small burmese village 150km away from the Myanmar Capital city Yangon. In our 2016 project, "The Road to Thabyegone", we gather funds from kind donors to build an all-weather road leading into the village, thus enabling the villagers to carry on their normal commute and activities during the rainy season.
This year, with excess funds from the over-whelming support we received, we have embarked on our 2nd project for the village; to build a "Dream Centre" in the village.
It will be a place for the children to gather in after school; instead of roaming aimlessly in the courtyard, they will have access to books read. It will be a place for information to be display; the adults will have a place to relax and exchange news and knowledge. At night, it will be a space with light; there will finally be a place to study for the exams.
We envisioned that the Dream Centre will be, to the village of Thabyegone, and the other 3 surrounding villages around it, a portal to what is a greater world outside of this gentle rice farming community. With that, we hope they will be inspired to dream bigger, and achieve more than they have ever thought they could.
We hope you can help to support the building of the Dream Centre, and the future that it can create.
