My Rifle and Last Four/A War Journal

Help me publish my story please!   

In 2006 I went to combat with my infantry brothers for the second time to search for weapons of mass destruction, as we all know it yielded no return. This wasn’t my first trip to the sand box. My first tour, right out of basic training, was in 2003. I learned the reality of war, (conveniently on my first patrol), when I was wounded in an ambush in Tela far, Iraq, , earning myself a Purple Heart. This second deployment was different on many levels. This time I documented the full 15 month tour by writing an in-time journal. I also snapped thousands of pictures of daily events. After years of putting this historical account of Charlie Company 5-20 infantry 3rd platoon on hold, I feel it’s finally time to share our story. These day's I suffer from PTSD and TBI from my two combat experiences, but thankfully I was able to document this experience so that I will never forget it.
