My Grandmother’s Alzheimer’s Journey

Hi Everyone! I hope that all things are doing well with you today. I am James Cruz, a 25-year old IT professional from Manila, Philippines. Approximately 5 years ago, my grandmother has been diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Slowly, the degenerative disease is progressing. Currently, she is eating less and been taken care (during meals and taking a bath and changing of diapers, and the like) of by a caregiver (being paid Php 800.00 a day). She can no longer walk as she was injured last December. As such, she is always sitting on her wheelchair when going to places inside and outside of house. Currently, she is 90 years old.

To the generous hearts out there, I am seeking for a financial help that you could donate to continue the medication (monthly maintenance medicine, checkups and salary of the caregiver) of my grandmother. Even though I am earning, I still have household expenses and school expenses to pay for. Any amount will do and will be of great help to my grandmother. She could not thank each one of you but I know that in her heart and mind, she is full of gratitude.

In this manner, I am showing my love and concern for her as she was the main guardian I had when I was young.
