Campaign Story
My daughter Ellie was diagnosed with leukemia five days ago. In the beginning we thought she had lack of iron, so we were giving her supplements. After three weeks of seeing her being tired and apathetic, with white lips and pale skin, I decided to take her to the doctor. They took her blood samples and called me immediately the results: It looks bad. You have to go to hospital. They are waiting for you.
My life and the life of our whole family has turned up side down. I'm with my daughter in the hospital day and night. She's starting chemotherapy in a few days. I'm scared and worried and nothing really matters to me now more than my daughter. I've stopped working and so has my husband, who is now looking after our 4 year old son. The whole treatment will take 2 years. Ellie will have to live in a clean house, no dust, no mould, no bacteria, no animals, no friends... We need to adjust to it.
I will be grateful for any amount you can provide. Every Czech crown will be used for preparing the home for when Ellie comes back, for paying the rent and food and clothes and anything that both of our children need.

Ellie had her haircut yesterday, I, mummy have had it today. Ellie will start losing hair with a few weeks, also eyelashes. We cut it so soon because we want use our hair to make Ellie a whig and chemotherapy damages the hair quickly, so we wanted to cut it

Chemotherapy started

Ellie has got her first two doses of chemotherapy. One liquid was transparent, one reddish. The doctor said the consequence of this treatment will be noticeable after some weeks. Hair falling out, losing muscle material... So Ellie has to eat lots of protein to avoid losing too much. She is. . . . .
Zavedení katetru do centrální žíly (catheter into central vein)

díky tomuto katetru lze tělu dodávat léky, aniž by bylo každý týden nutné porušovat žíly na ruce. Pro děti je to vždy bolestivé a Eli má teď velmi křehké žíly. Centrální žila vše ustojí. Červená část vede po kůží, slouží k upevnění a také pro ochranu před přímým vstupem bakterií.
