Get lyre music in exchange for helping me out of debt!

Welcome to the fundraiser where you get to interview the beneficiary! (Of sorts. Hopefully I’ll have answered some of your questions relating to this.)

Very well, let me sum things up.

I love the Lord Jesus and want to talk about Him to everyone. I also reckon the Church is globally in need of revival, in need of being called to faithfulness to Christ, which will have as a side effect her fighting for justice.
I want to do this by any means possible. This is the only kind of work I’m called to do. I’m spoiled for anything else, literally. Between this, volunteering for a whole lot of causes that would get us to this effect, along with campaigning for justice in many other domains, there is nothing else I’d rather do.

However, I’m in debt and need to pay for next month’s rent along with other expenses too, because I got prematurely cut off from the source of funding that I used to have.
All this — debt, rent and expenses — comes out to roughly 3000€.
I’m trying to put something in place that can constitute more long-term support, but for now I need help to tide over this.
(More support — an additional 2175€ — would be lovely, but it’s the 3000€ of debt and rental and expenses that’s most urgent.)

If we get to the 3000€ goal, I promise to get lyre recordings of hymns and Christmas carols done soon (I can currently play 16 hymns and 6 carols on lyre, plus a medley of 3 carols), and sent out to people. As a matter of fact, contrary to what I posted earlier, I think I can get them done by October at the absolute latest.

Who are you?

Hi, I’m Penelope. And I reckon I might as well be frank about everything.

The calling on my life is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the land I’m in. This is what I was called to do. People don’t see it, particularly since they do not see how there is so much blindness in the land (Deborah judged Israel! But the circumstances had been extreme then, and are almost just about as extreme now). The work is going to be long and difficult, but I know I must do this.

And I want to by any means possible ― tracts, websites, anything and everything there is at my disposal!

As such I have been volunteering for missions that are more in line with the Truth, but they are not for profit and don’t pay a cent. Those that do pay their missionaries from donor funds… so far I have not found one that is not apostate to some degree. Not even the ministry that taught me first-level exegesis via the OIA method. … and I say that with a very heavy heart.

I genuinely have no desire to do any other kind of work. This is the claim placed on my life. I can do no other.

Okay, but then why are you here?

Before I got prematurely cut off from the support source I did have, however, I had racked up some credit card expenses for July. That, coupled with the debt I currently have along with rent for August, adds up to roughly 3000€. I need this sum by the 28th of July, otherwise I could face eviction. So here I am, asking for help when I would otherwise rather not.

There is a handful of initiatives I plan to put in place that will constitute a constant source of support. I’m working on them. Getting Patreon patronage up to speed for an unknown like me, however, is quite another matter. I think I might be able to get fully funded on that front within 3 months. I don’t know for sure; that’s just an estimate. But even then I’ll have put in enough to constitute relatively stable sources of constant support.

Until then, if we estimate that I need 725€ per month to live on, that adds up to another 2175€ for 3 months.

All this comes out to a grand total of 5175€.

But the 3000€ for the clearance of the debt, past month’s expenses and rental clearance is what’s most urgent (and it’s what’s displayed as the target amount).

… that’s still pretty huge… / is there anything in this for me?

Please don’t be put off by the big target amount. Even the smallest bit helps. I’m seriously grateful for every euro.
And you know what, if we get to the target amount I plan to give back by sending free public domain hymn recordings on lyre to every contributor (please drop me an email at [email protected] to tell me of your name and the amount). The details of this are in the Rewards section of this campaign (it’s the first thing you’ll have seen to the right).

Currently I can play 16 hymns and 6 Christmas carols without there being any form of tricky accommodation I need to make, plus a special medley of 3 of the Christmas carols. I will do everything I can to get these to you by December 2017 (signed CDs included — meaning the recordings will themselves have to be done by October). All downloads will be in MP3 format, and will be professionally mastered.
