Mum’s House

This is a really simple funding project that I'm not sure is going to attract any attention or even funding because to be honest this is an all too common scenario and I can't say why my mother is more deserving than anyone else's, but as humbling as it is to be writing this, I am going to give it a try and reach out to the crowd funding community that I have heard so much about. My mum raised an incredible family of 5 children with my father. I was thankful every day to be growing up in the countryside with my 3 sisters and 1 brother in a loving household. Like most mother's, she put her career as a nurse on hold to raise us for 35 years during the prime of her life until the youngest of our clan was 16. A few short years after that, after all of us kids had moved out of home (except for one middle brother who requires full time care), mum and dad revealed how unhappy they had been for some time and quickly divorced... Here is the sadly all too common situation; with dad relocated to the city to conveniently live with his "new" partner, mum is forced to stay in the small town for which she originally uprooted everything to start a life with dad, and care for our brother. She is left with no retirement savings as she gave up work to look after us. At least she can do it in the family home that her and dad built... except she can't... Dad has now decided to go back on his word and invited legal proceedings to demand the house be sold so that he and his new partner can afford overseas holidays. I should preface by saying that dad isn't an evil man... He can just be a real dick to mum sometimes. The ins and outs of it all could sell a tabloid or two, though the crux of it is this; I want to reach out to the crowd funding community, something I have only heard good things about, and see if I can raise enough money to get mum comfortably on her feet, moving forward and enjoying life.   Any little bit helps.
