My pregnancy was healthy and normal, labor began as any and progressed but was a little slow, the dr decided he wanted to do a c section after breaking the water. Davion was diagnosed with Chorioamnionitus and spent his first week in the NICU. I developed an infection but was not treated accordingly and was released with a bad infection the same day the baby Was released. The next day was Thanksgiving, we made our way to families house and it was horrible for me, I was in agonizing pain that I had been told was normal after a c section. The family went home and in the middle of that night my incision ruptured. I was rushed by ambulance to the nearest hospital with multiple IV's because the EMT's feared I may be septic.(which I was) Upon getting to the hospital I received 2 more IV's, one with antibiotics and the other with more fluids to help clean her system. I was taken into emergency surgery just a few hours later where they removed a lot of dead and infected tissue. Leaving me with a wound that was the entire span of my abdomen, 5cm wide and 4cm deep. I had to have a wound vacuum put in because the wound was to large to simply treat with bandages. The wound vacuum has to be changed every other day and was extremely painful that lasted a span of about 2 months. The holidays were spent in the hospital which was no fun at all. I spent January bed ridden with a nurse coming to change her wound vacuum, and releasing how to go everything again. With the family being under constant stress, being separated (there are 2 older children in the family a 9 and 10 year old) the holidays, both older childrens birthday, the birth of the baby, and the fathers birthday passed in all that time as well which was unfortunately very rough and unenjoyable for them. Things finally began to get back on track, my health began to get better and I became stronger and started to drive again. The kids and I were in an accident in the families only vehicle the other person ran from the scene and insurance is only giving me the run around. So I had to do what I could to make it drive- able in the mean time. But I worry about our safety in that vehicle. The children weren't hurt, thank the lord, but it did put a set back in the my healing as the seat belt put a tremendous amount of pressure across my wound which prolonged my leave from work, which was detramentally hurting us financially. As my job was not providing me with any kind of maternity pay and I was misled with facts about state leave pay. (Which I am currently fighting for back pay and was told correct information finally) So they have been living on my fiance income and what savings we had. I was finally able to perform my duties at work and when i notified them with her 2 weeks advance that i was ready to return like they request when i went on leave she was told that i had been written off and they will keep me in mind for future reference. That can't be possible after everything we've been through right? Wrong. There's more.. We've fallen behind on rent and are now being evicted. And have recently found out that a lot of the medical bills that were acquired are not covered by the medical insurance that i had thru work throwing us further into debt. We have been fighting for a while and really need a break anything can help keep our family from ending up on the streets. i just wantsome time to enjoy each other and bond with our newest addition. Anything helps thank you and god bless.
