Mountain Blossoms: Funding Menstrual Care for Girls in Rural Vietnam

The Problem:

In Hà Giang, rural Vietnam, girls are constantly struggling against the shame and stigma surrounding having their period, due to the local community’s conservative values. They can’t access or afford safe menstrual products either, due to their reclusive location, and low income. Leaving them with no choice but to use leaves, newspapers, and rags to absorb blood flow, or to entirely skip out on a quarter of their education, stopping the female population from pursuing their dreams, feeling comfortable in their natural bodies, and acquiring higher education.

Who We are:

For Girls is a club dedicated to ending period poverty and menstrual stigma facing the world’s most vulnerable communities, through service, fundraising, advocacy, and education.

Our Mission:

We are partnering with COSON Charity to target a boarding school with 250 girls. Your donations will go towards:

1. Delivering essential sanitary products

2. Hosting educational workshops led by healthcare professionals

We dream of a world where every girl is unbound—unbound by societal norms, unbound by economic limitations, and unbound by the natural processes of her own body. We see a future where menstrual care is not a luxury or a stigma but a basic right that empowers girls to reach their full potential.
