Morgan’s Road to Recovery

On a dark morning, last spring, our car hit black ice, slid off the road and rolled four times down a forty foot revene, throwing both my 16 year old son, Morgan and I out of the vehicle.  I suffered many injuries, however Morgan suffered much worse: cracked skull, broken back, broken ribs,  punctured lung and shattered clavicles.  He has had been through surgeries and therapy to help alleviate the problems and has fearlessly faced these long months of recovery.  The hospital and medical bills have now stacked quite high, so much that we were forced to sell our home and downsize into an apartment.  Not one member of the family, including Morgan, has thought twice about what needed to be done in order to pay the medical bills and stay afloat.  I am incredibly proud of the sacrifices everyone has made. I am especially proud of the courage, hope and positive outlook that Morgan has displayed through this entire journey. There is, however, one sacrifice that I do not wish for my son, Morgan to make.  That is moving ahead. Now that he is walking again and back in school, he would like to start driving, get a job and prepare for college.  The only problem is that the truck we had purchased for him lost it's transmission one month after we purchased it.  We would like to raise the money to fix Morgan's truck so he may be back out on the road and start living his life again.  Please help us to help this brave and brilliant boy who will need this vehicle as he begins a new life.
