Molly needs Heart Surgery

  Molly's Story: We had decided our family was ready for a new puppy in October 2013. Through much consideration we had chose the perfect breed for us and a very reputable breeder to get her from. In March 2014 our puppy was born, we received pictures on a regular basis and immediately fell in love with the newest member of our family. Our family patiently waited the 8 weeks for her to come home, however the night before she was due to arrive we got a devastating call from her heartbroken breeders. Molly was diagnosed with a level 3 heart murmur, which needed to be monitored but not life threatening. Our family discussed our options but felt Molly had already become a member of our family, therefore we could never turn our backs on her now. We bought Molly home anyway! Once getting her home and having her assessed further, she was diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). Having this condition, Molly requires surgery in Prince Edward Island or she will not live to see her 1st birthday. Molly's surgery and travel costs can cost up towards $5000, we have insurance on her, but because PDA is a condition the she was born with, her insurance considered it pre existing and denied her pre authorization. We don't expect family, friends, fellow dog lovers or anyone that cares to cover Molly's vet expenses but any amount raised will be greatly appreciated. I'm sure Molly would show her appreciation in kisses and a wagging tail!!! Please help us help Molly!
