Mobile Eye Care Clinic

Hi, my name is Susie. I am a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. My experience encompasses 25 years in all aspects of the eye field: Glasses, Exams, Surgery, and Management. Years ago, my sites were set on becoming an Optometrist; but as a single mother, my children came first. They have since grown up, and I now have the opportunity to make my dreams come to fruition. My goal is to build an entirely mobile eye care clinic that brings comprehensive care to assisted living facilities, schools, and remote locations. Your help in making this project a success will not only fulfill my personal goal but will also bring much-needed quality care to those in need. This campaign will be in two phases: Phase one will be the purchase and conversion of the vehicle. Phase two will be the purchase and installation of the equipment needed for care.

PHASE ONE:

Goal: $95,000

The vehicle I have decided to purchase for the conversion is a Dutch Star diesel pusher. This vehicle is spacious and it’s dependable. The conversion will remove all the furniture and appliances; however, the bathroom will be kept as is. Once all furniture is removed installation and sound deadening will be sprayed in. Then the framework for the walls and countertops will be built. The electrical will be professionally completed by a licensed electrician. This vehicle will have one office for the technician who will do initial exams on the patient and the second office is for the optometrist or ophthalmologist who will diagnose and treat whatever issues that may arise. The patient reception area will be located outside.

PHASE TWO:

Goal: $65,000
