Miss Osorio’s Life Changing Class Trip to Capitol Hill

This campaign is to raise donations for an overnight trip to Washington D.C. for my 6th grade Latino students from Washington Heights. My 6th graders and I are trying to raise funds to help pay for room and board for a one night stay in Washington D.C. from June 16th to June 17th. Our plan is to visit all the major landmarks, including the White House, JFK's grave, the Space Museum, Abraham Lincoln's Monument, The African Museum and much more! My students want to see the heart of our democratic government with their own eyes, but many cannot afford to go due to dire financial circumstances. I want them to have the chance to leave their blocks of the neighborhood for one night and start seeing the world! My students are doing their part by fundraising in and out of school selling chocolates galore so any donations would help to cover the difference for the remaining balance.
