About Our Organization:
Face of Africa -USA (FAO) is an organization committed to Unity, Education, and Integration within African communities across America. The FAO network has a heightened awareness of the culture and its roots, values and celebrates how the African heritage positively influences their American community
The goal of the Face of Africa Pageant is to provide a fair environment in which young men and women have the opportunity to better themselves. At FAO, we encourage our contestants to redefine themselves through stronger self-confidence, individual pride, and greater social awareness.
Within our unique pageantry process, participants are encouraged to find issues they feel strongly about, and become involved in organizations or special interest groups that speak to their individual passions. Each participant who enters FAO has a different goal; our pageant will support them in achieving their personal best.
Your donations will help provide additional scholarship money for the contestants! Our dream is to the present to the scholarship winner(s) an opportunity to reach a higher platform in their scholastic endeavors.
Last year’s events attracted over a thousand spectators combined from all over Texas and across the country, sparking a positive buzz within the African communities and media outlets. The 2013 continuum will press forward by extending the opportunity for more young African Women & Men to compete in the first ever “African Adult Co-Ed Pageant” competition; Face of Africa USA Pageant. The candidates will be given a chance to win scholarships and prizes, along with, the chance to hold the title of Mr. Face of Africa and Miss Face of Africa.
