The Skem Men-Aces is a football team based in Skelmersdale which is solely for adults with a learning disability.They have been in existance since 2009 and whilst the club is at 40+ members the phone still continues to ring for this popular and very unique club. Alot of the Athletes from this club come from very deprived backgrounds and for some this special football club is really all they have to look forward to on a weekly basis. The club welcomes all adults with a learning disability to come and play football regarless of ability in a safe and very friendly atmosphere.
The club is entirely funded by voluntary donations and can only continue to progress if funding continues. This is why I am going to do a 300 ft bungee jump in Tatton Park, Manchester on the 12th of October 2014 to raise money for this unique football club.
