Memories for Christmas

On a recent train trip we passes 3 informal settlements.

At one of them we had to make a stop because they were busy working on the railway.

On our way the personel of the railway asked us to not throw things out the windows to the children..

I should not have looked.. there stood these lottle kids... youngest I would guess maybe 2.. 3 at most... and my hearf sank, my eyes teared up and I whished that in that moment I could get off the train, give them each the biggest hug a propper meal and each a treat.. or 2!

A few carts down, someone threw a bag of marshmellows out of the window, they were not supposed to! And we saw why, they started hitting the girl who picked it up... this little 4 maybe 5 year old boy... hitting a 8 year old girl and her running away... things we take for granted oh so often, is something to these kids that they think they have to fight over.

With this being said and me having ny onlwn toddler in the house, we would very mich like to be able to put some meals on the table of some of these kids and their families.

This wouldn't be near enough to feed them all, but at least give the children at least a christmas to remeber.
