Campaign Story
I am fundraising money to volunteer in an orphanage in Ghana from 3rd July till 24th July 2016. I am travelling with the Plan my Gap Year organisation.Throughout my trip I will be helping in Kumasi Children's home where I will work alongside members of staff to assist with teaching the children, general childcare and the daily operational running of the orphanage. I will also have the opportunity to initiate my own activities by organising structured activities and games for the children.
I will be travelling to Ghana with three other girls from Leeds Beckett University: Naomi Holland and Surinder Chahal who are on my Psychology course and Abbie Woodward who is my house mate.
We are participating in various different fundraising activities such as:
- Abseiling- From the top of Leeds Beckett University 10-storey high Portland building
- Numerous cake sales-e.g. At the Foundry Church, Widnes
- Bag packing at various supermarkets
- Plus, many more ideas to come...
