Canon’s Fight with Paralysis

Cannon is a kind, compassionate 23 years old international medical student who has a heart of gold. He always gone out of his way to help and care for people. Unfortunately, due to a devastating car accident on 24/08/2018 he is critical and this time its him who needs our help...

Cannon has been diagnosed with a complete spinal cord desection paraplagia (intensive nerve damage resulting in paralysis rendering him incapable to walk. He also suffered severe trauma to his thorax with a metal bar piercing through his lungs barely missing his heart, which has caused a bilateral haemopneumothorax (accumulation of air and blood in the cavity surrounding his lungs. He has many abdominal contusions, lacerations alongside the fracture of many of his vertebrae. In basic he is suffering from paralysis, intense pain and excessive bleeding.

We have been advised by the doctors that he requires a specific type of surgery which is not available in Romania at this moment in time. The sooner his operation is conducted the greater his chances of recovery. However, there was administrative problems with his insurance in his home country, Sweden, so his retired parents were required to arrange 35,000-40,000€ for his Airplane transport to Sweden with a specialist medical team. Thank you to everyone who contributed towards his transportation fund. He has now been transported to a Swedish hospital where he requires 2 operations, physiotherapy and rehabilitation for which we are still collecting.

It is devastating seeing such a young, innocent man suffering in this way. His situation is heartbreaking. A man who was soon to become a doctor with the intention to help people is now in need of serious help himself.

We kindly request everyone to do whatever they can to help his family in this difficult time. Whether its a small or large amount, every little amount that can be donated will help his case.
