Medical School Expenses

Last year I was selected to attend medical school at St James school of medicine. I also leant that students at this school are not allegible for federal grants and loans. I am asking for a donation of any amount to help me with school fees/ books and living expenses whilst i will be in medical school. It will be an honor if you can help me on this journey. I am looking forward to going back to school this coming summer. Your donation nomatter how big or small will be greatly appreciated. Being a doctor is something that I have always wanted to be. It has been 16 years since my first exposure to the world of medicine in Zimbabwe Africa. There are many experiences that have led me pursue a career in medicine. Shadowing physicians confirmed my conviction to practice medicine. Everyday physicians have the opportunity to make an impact in people's lives. My goal is to make that impact positive and exponential by increasing the quality of care for all patients. In Zimbabwe, I have lost over a dozen cousins, uncles and aunts to HIV and AIDS in the past few years. Choosing medicine as a career path is my contribution to the growing devastation due to AIDS . Being compassionate has always been a part of who I am and this became evident at the age of 10, when I cared for

my aunt who had been diagnosed with AIDS. My aunt was my first AIDS patient. During her final days I would help her bathe, dress, change her when did not make it to the bathroom and when she began the vomiting I would help her get comfortable again. I wanted her to feel that she always had her dignity. My family was always surprised that at such a young age I did not appear to be in fear of seeing a dying person. There were times when she did not need assistance, but rather someone to talk to and it was those times when I felt helpless and the reality of death would become very clear. Sometimes it was gratifying to know that I was able to be there for her in her time of need. Thank you..
