Medical Mission Trip to Zambia

I am excited to tell you about this incredible medical experience I have been given the opportunity to participate in this summer. I will be attending a medical mission trip to Zambia for two weeks this July, July 6^th-20^th. I will be working with the organization International Volunteer HQ. While there I will be working in underserved area clinics. I will be working hands on with patients and medical personal. I will also be spending time outside of the medical field doing extra volunteer services within the community. I am excited for this opportunity to use my medical skills, gain more knowledge, and gain cultural awareness.

This experience will put my training to practice so that I can begin to feel confident in my medical knowledge. As someone that loves to help others, this also gives me the chance to give back to others. I am so grateful to be in medical school and pursuing my dreams. This trip enables me to care for those that don’t have adequate healthcare. By getting to go on this trip, I will be able to improve the lives of so many families. Being a student though, I cannot do this on my own.
