Nicole’s Medical Mission Trip to Peru

Hello Everyone! My name is Nicole and I am currently a student at the University of Arizona studying physiology to go onto medical school to become a pediatrician. I will be attending a medical mission trip through International Volunteer Headquarters this summer to Cusco, Peru. On this trip, I will be aiding indigenous communities who don't have access to proper health care. I will be helping out in medical clinics to get families and children the medical attention they need to live safe and healthy, including medications, vaccines, and basic medical supplies. I will be staying in a community in Cusco where there is a severe lack in healthcare. The funds will be going towards medical expenses and donations to these communities throughout our time being there. Hola! My llamo Nicole and soy un estudiante en la Universidad de Arizona. Estoy estudiando medicina para ser pediatra. Voy a ir a apoyar a una misión medica con la organización International Volunteer Headquarters este verano en Cusco, Peru. En este misión, ayudare a las comunidades indigenas que no tienen acceso a la atención medica que requieren. Voy a estar ayudando en clínicas medicas para darles a las familias y niños de la comunidad los recursos medicos que necesitan para vivir sanos y seguros, incluyendo medicamentos, vacunas y suministros medicos básicos. Me voy a quedar en una comunidad en Cusco donde hay grave falta de atención medica.
