Medical care for my dad Carlos Sotelo

Hola a todos! Soy Carla Sotelo y en este momento vengo a pedirles ayuda por la salud de mi papá Carlos Sotelo. El es un gran padre y sé que con la ayuda de ustedes lograra superar esta horrible situación.

El 25 de Julio dio positivo para el COVID - 19. Por el momento, su condición era estable y podíamos seguir el tratamiento en casa. El viernes 1 de agosto durante la noche le empezó a subir la temperatura, la cual se controlo con medicinas pero esta fiebre continuo durante la madrugada. Por la mañana, el medico le aconsejo que fuera por emergencia para que le dieran medicamentos mas fuerte. En la clínica, lo evaluaron, tomaron radiografías y análisis de sangre. Los resultados fueron neumonía en 50% de sus pulmones lo cual ameritaba ser internado inmediatamente, esta con oxigeno.

Todo sabemos lo caótica que esta la situación en el Peru, donde conseguir oxigeno y una cama en un hospital publico es casi imposible. Afortunadamente y luego de muchas horas de espera, logramos conseguir una cama en un hospital privado pero los costos son muy elevados y no contamos con el dinero suficiente para cubrir los gastos. No sabemos aun cuántos días permanecerá internado.

In the morning, the doctor advised him to go to an emergency room so that he could be given stronger medication. At the clinic, they evaluated him, took x-rays and blood tests. The results were pneumonia in 50% of his lungs, which meant he had to be hospitalized immediately and given oxygen.

We all know how chaotic the situation is in Peru, where getting oxygen and a bed in a public hospital is almost impossible. Fortunately, and after many hours of waiting, we managed to get a bed in a private hospital, but the costs are very high and we do not have enough to cover the expenses. We do not know yet how many days he will be hospitalized.
