Medical bills

I'm 38 years old and what should be the best years of my life has over night turned to fear, anger, disbelief and uncertainty. On the 23rd of August 2017 I was sadly diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of Keratinising type aka malignant lung cancer by Dr Kimcurren & Dr Kumar at City Clinic Hospital in Port Louis, Mauritius. Luckily we had Metropolitan Health Insurance which thankfully was accepted at this clinic.

However, after a bronchoscopy operation, bronchial wash, a plural tapping, echography, CT scans, as well as numerous tests, examinations and constant pain relief like high doses of Tramadol & Morphine we exceeded our coverage limit of 500,000rs!

If I start my chemotherapy treatment here in Mauritius at a private clinic it will cos me literally millions of rupees to complete a treatment plan which we do not have hence GoFundMe and if I were to go to a free clinic I would be placed on a waiting list which can take over a year to be seen and given a suitable treatment plan.

I have been told in my case that time is a serious factor and since I am a UK citizen I am desperate to return so I can begin my chemotherapy treatment for free under the NHS. Also, there is no PET scanner on the island which means staging it accurately is impossible.

It is now 9th November 2017 and I am still on a waiting list at Candos Public Hospital to start my chemotherapy. It will could take months and months for me to be seen by a Cancer Specialist and start my chemotherapy.

All I want is what anyone should be entitled to and that is having a fighting chance at beating this disease.

What my wife and I need is some financial help with these medical bills for the private clinic we were at that we must pay as well as a flight to the UK where I will receive excellent medical care for FREE!

This has all gone way past stressful, frightening and scary. I really need some financial and moral support with this - please help me if you can! And please everyone pray for me!!!

And please if you smoke, for the love of God STOP !!! Smoking is nothing more than a strong-hold of the devil . . . one that could cost me my life and if you smoke, yours too! I don't have any children, if you do and you or your partner smoke, think of them first . . . . .
