McLaurin Elementary School “Hassle Free” Fundraiser

We are raising money to purchase updated technology for McLaurin Elementary School in Florence, South Carolina. We are a 4K through 4th grade Title I elementary school with 777 enrolled students. Although we are a Title I school, unfortunately, we cannot use Title I funds to purchase new technology. We need to replace each classroom's aging SMART board with the latest technology like North Vista, Royall, Delmae, and the new Lucy T. Davis have. Our students deserve the same access to technology as the other students in the district. The new interactive SMART TVs cost around $7,000 each! We would also like to purchase additional Chromebooks for electronic reading and testing. This past summer, we used last year's fundraising profits to purchase 90 Chromebooks with a charging cart for $32,000.

During our "Hassle Free Fundraiser" this Fall, we will NOT SELL ANYTHING! Instead, we are trying something new and simply asking for money. By asking for donations, we can reach our goal of $50,000 more quickly!

We ask that you share the Facebook links and encourage others across the state, country, and even the world to help our students. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and any donation made to McLaurin APT is usable as a tax write off. Remember, you may also ask your employer if they will match your donation. Donations can be made in honor of someone or even in memory of a loved one.
