Mbhashe Community Radio Broadcasting Equipment

Mbhashe FM is currently fundraising funds to purchase broadcasting equipment (transmitters, antennas and accessories). We are currently broadcasting as a digital station. We have been recently granted a licence by the licencing authority of South Africa. (Icasa)

Mbhashe Community Radio Station is a community based radio station based in Willowvale in Mbhashe Municipality in the Eastern Cape. We are in the beautiful Wild Coast which is a tourist attraction area of the Eastern Cape. The station is run by Station Manager, acting on behalf of Board Members and few volunteers. Mbhashe FM is fully registered under the Department of Social Development with registration number: 188-130NPO. The station is predominantly broadcast in isiXhosa which is a local language used and understood by the community we serve with a percentage of English.

We aim to inform, educate, entertain and provide companionship. To reinforce basic values, recognizing every individual’s purpose and gifts as being the ingredients that form the unique character and expression of our community.

Mbhashe FM is the community voice that fight against gender based violence's, promotes humans rights, fight against woman's and child abuse through the power of radio.
