Moving Forward, Together:
CHANGE IS COMING FOR US- LIKE IT OR NOT
We all know this to be a fact- yet we tend to chose not to look it in the face. Change comes for us all. We can direct its path, or let it consume us. Staying the same as we always have in today’s world IS NOTan option, however, harnessing the change and driving it to our benefit IS an option.
No vital task has ever been completed by ONE person.
Open mindedness is a rare trait. Most of us settle on autopilot and narrow views, if any.
Daring to chance embracing change, in order to preserve, takes a courage that few want to dig down deep for- but that courage is there if we do. It also isn’t as hard as it seems.
Young people are being left behind in communities without Vision and Hope. Before we can instill vision and hope into our young people, we need to know where we want to go and what we want to accomplish first. Otherwise words like these are empty. For change not to hit us hard it takes knowing WHAT our vision for its direction is to be. Where do we want it to take us, then make it happen.
Money IS STILL the reason. Economic hardship enslaves communities who will not unite- broken families and individuals need more neighbors and less judges. Crimes are committed out of desperation more often than evilness.
One day at time, one hour at a time- mile by mile, inch by inch even, and all the other baby step phrases we lean on, only REALLYwork if we ignite the desire to thrive constantly. We must fight to be the difference. Counties, local businesses, and communities are lost one moment at a time. Preventing another loss does take an effort and we CANdo that together.
“Simpler times” are referred to such for the very reason we REFUSEto direct change. Poverty and hate have been beaten before and can be again- with passion to change hearts in ourselves. Look around at the abandoned buildings, empty houses, and broken schools in neighboring counties. We CAN’T let that happen to us. Hate is more common than Love in hearts of some. Until Unity evolves, it will destroy us if we don’t get a grip on it. Uncomfortable stands must be made, or we will become a lost county which means Selfishness must be overcome. We need unity and commitment
Power to embrace change doesn’t take magic, it takes knowing there’s a need and caring about it
WE have the power to imagine and direct change
We can be a powerful force through learning to really think and not accept the same approach to each issue that is easiest or most familiar.
Power comes from knowing you have options in this county, through thinking creatively, not by default. We must consider ideas that aren’t easy and no, No One must abandon their roots or way of traditions, just EVOLVEsome.
We live in the midnight hour- it’s now or never
We MUST stop looking back all the time and glance into what’s coming if we are to prevent it from hitting us in the face.
Turning a blind eye has NEVER been more dangerous than now.
Our youth is our tomorrow, but they need us today. We need to find that fire way down deep to drive us to beat change before it beats us
You don’t have to admit what’s in your heart to anyone but you. But it’s time to examine ourselves and at the very least, KNOW who we are, and at the most grow from it. We can’t lose if we really do that.
Today we MUST take the very uncomfortable stand that it’s not about me- it’s about all of us. I’m not special. We are.
Happiness isn’t something that we just get- we have to make that happen. NOW is the time to do that through clarity and consciousness.
We have to wake up and see “Mayberry” is fading. If we do that, all that can happen is a brighter day- every day.
We need more than an election folks- we need a movement. And we need it now.
