Hi my name is Danielle A. Rivera-Gonzalzles, and I would like to thank you for having the care in your heart to visit our page and read our story/request for help.

My Husband, Wilberto and I could really use your help. Like most families recently, we have had a very difficult time. Over the last 3.5 years, we were both laid off and faced foreclosure. But more traumatic than that, in May 2012 we delivered a pre-term stillborn daughter; Angel. This loss which absolutely devastated my husband and I and our now 8yr old daughter, Isabella-Rose., was compounded by learning that Angel had an unidentified heart condition that was not identified by our "attending physician" despite my seeking pre-natal care very early in the pregnancy.

Since that time I have found FT employment and Wilberto is working toward his personal trainer certification, while still seeking stable, regular employment. We managed to modify our mortgage and save our home. In the Fall of 2012 decided to find a new physicians to see if there were any issues that were missed or left unattended by our previous doctor. Unfortunately there was an issue but our doctor dealt with it promptly and with the care and attention that was warranted. It was during that after care that we VERY surprised, yet over joyed to learn that are expecting to have a Baby Boy in September 2013.

Four months ago we learned the Baby Boy has a hole in his heart. And as a result I have had miss time from work to accommodate the additional pre-natal care and monitoring.

While my current employer offers medical benefits, the job security of a structured maternity leave and medical coverage during that leave. It does not provide income or sufficient short-term disability to sustain us and I will have to repay the cost of the medical coverage upon my return to work.

Because of the circumstances of Angel's delivery and our current physician wanting to manage any potential complications, we are having a necessary c-section to help ensure we welcome our little blessing into the world. We were not given the opportunity to provide Angel the medical care that she needed and deserved. It is very important to Wilberto and I that I am able to stay home for the full 12 weeks available from my employer to help Baby Boy become strong and thrive.

Wilberto and I would appreciate any support we can find in preventing another financial downfall. We do not own a vehicle, we use the cities public transportation, we do not have credit cards or credit card debt; nor do we have a cable service...just the bare essentials. All funds received will go towards our medical and living expenses: mortgage, utilities, medical expenses and groceries until I return to work.

Thank you all for taking the time to read our request for help, whether you are able to or not... keep a happy thought and prayer for my Family. Thank you.
