Mary is retiring this year!
She will still need to keep working though and she hopes to cut back on her hours and enjoy more time off. Something she has not done much of in her life.
Travel is something many of us look forward to when we retire. So I am hoping we can help her enjoy some travel as well in her retirement.
The idea is for us to contribute to the purchase of a reliable used vehicle she can use in retirement. I envision it a large enough vehicle (e.g. a minivan) to accommodate all her dogs for a day trip or longer.
I started out with a goal of $5000 but have decided that this might just be too hard a goal to reach so I have lowered it to $2000 with the hope I will be able to find a vehicle that will work for her at this lower amount of funding!
