Hi everyone!. I would like for you to met my Border Collie Marty.
He is approximately 5 or 6 years old and he was rescued on May 14, 2014 from a No-Kill animal shelter in Madison, Indiana. Marty was found on January 31, 2014 wandering the streets from paper work from the shelter. I was driven 144 miles one way to come and get me.
While at the shelter they done a Heart worm test on Marty tested positive for Heart worms. The shelter staff collected and cashed in pop cans to pay for his Heart worm treatment. I took Marty into my home knowing he was Heart worm positive. Marty was receiving monthly Heart guard Plus as a monthly preventive for his Heart worms.
During a yearly routine check-up recently with Marty's vet we got the bad news that I was not expecting that Marty's Hear worm were back and that he needs to have the Heart worm treatment yet once again. If he does not have the treatment he will continuously get worse.
MY "mom" needs help in paying for my treatment and she is one that does not like to ask for help from others, but has no choice because she wants to provide me with the best possible care and a good quality of life for me.
I am disabled and in a wheelchair and receives disability and so there is no extra money for Marty's treatment. Marty has to be on a chain when he goes outside because of the Heart worms and he is not allowed to run and play like other normal healthy dogs.
I could tell when I got Marty that he had been mistreated and needed dental work and he was actually missing 3 of his 4 canine teeth. Marty has received lots of love since he has come to live with me.
I can promise YOU and any money that is donated WILL BE used for Marty. I got him after Charlie my Golden retriever passed away on February 18, 2014.
Thank you so much for your help!!
