Marshmallow, a sweet and loving bunny who loves cuddles and head rubs, was found abandoned in a carrier outside our doorstep on Friday morning around 5am.
We have no idea how long poor Marshmallow was left out in the cold, but that ordeal didn't seem to have stolen all of his spirits. The moment we got him a space to call his own home, he began wolfing down stacks of hay - talk about having the munchies.
We brought him to the vet, where a list of health issues were quickly identified ):
- Severe dehydration
- Uneven teeth
- Fur mites
- Possibility of intestinal parasites
On the bright side, majority of what he's down with is treatable and can be cured with medication. Bad news is, his uneven teeth might require surgery to trim and extract his teeth 2 months from now. We hope that by staying under our care, he will get comfortable and chow more hay to trim his teeth down. We're sure Marsh would like to avoid intrusive surgery, and enjoy a Christmas treat or 2 in December 2016.
With the multiple health issues, Marsh's vet trips have chalked up quite a bit. We hope you will be able to help; no amount is too small.
Marshmallow and my family will be extremely grateful with what you can afford, even if it is 10 seconds to spread the word.
We want the best help we can get for Marshmallow to get him all set for Christmas.
