Campaign Story
About AYC:
Apostolic Youth Corps has a significant impact on the lives of young people, with a passion towards the missions’ field, here's an overview of what AYC has to offer. Apostolic Youth Corps Mission Statement which states: “Apostolic Youth Corps (AYC) is a ministry of the General Youth Division and facilitates the pairing of ministry-minded Pentecostal students with North American and international sites which need and desire evangelism assistance. This exemplifies the nature of these trips, and how much they truly can change someone’s life, because a calling to the missions’ field may be found as a young person takes that step of faith.
AYC applicant:
My name is Sara Quinn, I’m twenty years old, and I live in Lakeview, Arkansas. I am a college student at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home, and will graduate as of May 2017. I was born and raised in Arkansas, and have a deep love for nature, the surrounding lakes, rivers, etc., with a love for outdoor activities as well, like hiking, fishing, four-wheeling, you name it. I attend Yellville United Pentecostal Church, and I call it my home church.
BUDGET:
“Each AYC participant must raise his/her own budget. Support may be acquired from relatives, friends, and the local church. However, applicants are not allowed to itinerate from church to church as done by career missionaries. All funds must be U.S. All budgets are subject to change and include hotel stays, meals, medical insurance coverage, onsite transportation, sightseeing, and international airfare. Budgets do not include passports, Visas (if required), immunizations, luggage fees, souvenirs. AYC Global trips do not include travel to and from the departure city. AYC North American trips do not include airfare to the host city.” That being known, I have been very creative in my fund raising process, from selling custom t-shirts, yard sales, selling clothes online, bake sales, letters to friends, and family, seeking help from local churches, as well as my own home church, Yellville UPC. First payment of $2,000 has been PAID, the next is April 5th, $1,000, and May 1st, $800. Let's do this!:)
To conclude this letter, I would like to thank you for your time by reading this, and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to reach out to you for this unique endeavor. Thank you once again, I’m truly grateful.
Sincerely,
Sara Quinn
