I am a South African pianist with a dream of recording with an orchestra. In my final year of high school I was selected to perform the 2nd & 3rd movements of the Beethoven Piano Concerto and since that time I have always wanted to record the Concerto. I am currently a final year theology student and as this journey is ending soon I want to make the most of this time by taking on this project. I have already produced a solo piano album, and would love to now expand to a piano and orchestra album.
This fundraiser will enable me to record with a 35-man orchestra. It has been a life-long dream of mine to do this! I would love to make it a reality before my birthday and graduation this year. The two works I have in mind are:
Beethoven's Piano Concerto no.4 in G major Op.58; &
Schumann's Introduction & Allegro Appassionato Op.92 for Piano and Orchestra.
If more than the target is raised I will also be able to record an Original Composition of my own! If the target is not reached I will be using the donations to either record only one work with an orchestra/ensemble or a solo album.
In addition to this I am also arranging recitals to raise additional funds. If you would like to make an offline donation, feel free to send me a message.
