Magda!

My name is Jemima. I am going this because my mum's amazing friend Magda has recenty got in touch because she desperately needs help. She has pancreatic cancer and she needs 20,000 euros in order to get stem cell treatment. With this she will survive for 3 years. Without, it is just a couple of months.  We have spoken to her Doctor (for those of you that are very cynical and worry it might be a scam) and he has confirmed it all and explained the treatment. 

Magda is an amazing and understated lady from Poland. She came over a few years ago and worked for my Mum's workplace, Harrison Clark in Cheltenham, as a cleaner.

She was working there to fund her way through teacher training, which she is brilliant at. She worked very hard, working at nights cleaning to fund going to college in the day.

In the end, Magda went home to be with her family and pursue her dream as a teacher. BUT in August 2013, doctors found a tumour that was 14cm across in her pancreas. She was told her chances were slim and that chemo could only extend her life a few months. However, (and I will let her tell her story in her own words now): 

I had oncological consultation in Radom and I was referred to Oncology and Hyperthermia Center  in Warsaw where I was offered a new treatment in Germany- immunotherapy –  based on dendritic cells with possibility of combination with hyperthermia. Thanks to life savings and a bank loan I have started treatment in Germany. The price of hyperthermia and infusions are about 1500 euro per five days. However when I heard an opinion of Dr Nesselhut  in Duderstadt who gives me 80% for success of the therapy, great joy and willingness to fight put me back  on my feet. Now I know that there is a chance and I will not give up.

The costs of the therapy appeared to be very high. 40 thousand euro that is a price for a seven vaccines , first four should be taken once a month and the last three every six months. Vacciness are produced for individual request so that it is necessary to make an advanced payment 10 thousand euro.  In this disease every day of delay counts against me that is why I am asking you for help. This disease appeared in my life unexpectedly and came out of the blue in the worst moment. The only dream I had was to achieve a degree in  English Studies and make an effort to begin translation. This disease stopped me during my last year but I believe that only for a while and I reckon there are lots of people kind-hearted who will help me to fulfill my dream next year. I realize that I have a very serious task in front of me, I must raise 20 thousands euro, but every even the smallest contribution can help to save my life. With all heart I ask for support and I would love to thank  everyone who would like to give me a hand.

I NEVER ask for money for charity and I promise this is pretty much one of the only times I will ask. PLEASE GIVE ANY MONEY YOU HAVE! Like even £1!
